ABCmouse.com Early Learning Academy review...

Last week I was asked if I want to do a review and giveaway about ABCmouse.com my son and I jumped for joy when i read that to him - he was very excited so am I. So our week of learning adventure began (I decided to give it a week try before I do the review to get to know the site better and be able to give a good review about the site.

For those of you who doesn't know what is ABCmouse.com is all about (since this is open worldwide and I highly doubt that everyone have seen it advertise in their tv). Here is some of the information about them.

My son and I's review

Being a first time mom and stayed at home mom I needed all the help I can get on helping my son learn as early as possible. I found some online education site that I feel is good but always feel it is not good enough coz sometimes they have ads or lessons that i feel is not well thought or appropriate for my son's age. 

We only have a free channels on our TV (since we are trying to live as frugal as possible) and i often let my son watch PBS kids channel coz they do provide learning shows for him and help him entertain at the same time. We often see the commercial about ABCmouse.com and always wanted to give it a try but since my husband got laid off from work since January we are putting off a lot of stuff for our son even payed online or offline education.

That's why we are very grateful to get a chance to use for ABCmouse.com 1 year (check if ABCmouse.com is the right one for you by trying out for free in a month).

My 4yo son gets excited whenever he learns something new, specially on gadgets or online. When we tried out ABCmouse.com for the first time, he was ecstatic to know that he can pick/design the avatar that represents himself since he loves the color red he get to dress him with the red uniform he love :)

Now, everyday he looked forward on using my computer and spend "alone" time learning. I let him play and learn on his own in the beginning coz he prefer it that way. He feels that he is accomplishing something when he gets to finish the path, earned tickets and the special surprise in the end.

He enjoyed all the available levels and lessons specially math and all the letters and words. He was very proud to show me that he get to record his voice saying the word he learns, like most kids, hearing your own voice getting recorded is like getting a present all the time :)

There are plenty of learning activities my son enjoyed and i tell you it's been a life saver for me coz having his own time means i get to have my own time as well. Not that i am complaining of not having one, but i think every parent will agree that having a 15 or even a 5 minutes break from answering every questions there is, is such a breather :)

If your kid loves to color, ABCmouse.com have plenty of coloring activities to choose from - you can even print their work after just make sure your computer is connected to your printer. If you dont like this feature, i believe that you can control what and what not your child can do under parent's tab.

After he gets to enjoy his time (and my time of course LOL) i joined him with his learning journey by helping him out with the rest of his lessons. We get to sing and dance, spell and do all kinds of activities that im sure will help nourish his brain.

ABCmouse.com have taught us that learning is fun - lot's of fun! It makes me feel confident that my son is spending quality learning time while playing online.

At the end of the day, I know and I feel that i did something right not only to him BUT also to me. I realized being a first time mom do need a lot of help and help is just out there, we just have to check it out :)
