So today I walked my son to school, we are lucky that my son's school is just a 5minutes walk from our home. As I waved goodbye to him as he walked inside, I heard the school lady yelling at a mother of 4 asking her to please stop and dont let her kids walk in the traffic and instead walk in the designated crossing for the kids. Instead of the mom being grateful all I heard is a mom furious at the school officials for asking her to stop what she is about to do and question them why they are teaching her what she needs to do with her own kids. I am stunned by the mom's reaction! I dont see a reason for her being that angry when those school staff are just doing the right thing for her kids. I would think that as a parent I will be very happy knowing that school really care about the students and their safety. The staff just ignored the mom and watch for the kids as they crossed safely while mom is still yelling.
This and the other situation I faced last week makes me question what is going on in humanity. What happened to kindness, gratefulness, happiness - ALL the positive behavior that we should be setting as an example. It saddens me how 2017 is starting so early in a negative way. I am wanting to stay focus and believe that this too will end. Hopefully, tomorrow is a new day!
