With my budget really tight and still wanting to cook a healthy and delicious meal for my family, I couldn't be more grateful at Kroger for selling slightly blemished, undersized or misshapen produced item on their .99 cents corner. I am so happy to find this bag of lemons and yummy cherry tomatoes last Sunday. In the past I have found even organic items in there that they decided to sell instead of tossing out in the garbage. I always hate the thought of store throwing items that we can still eat and always wonder why they cant just put it on sale and see what happens. So glad that Kroger does it. I can now enjoy fruits, vegetables and nuts without compromising my weekly $50 budget.
So next time you shop there. Make sure you stop by the 99 cents area to see what they have to offer coz you never know how many are there that you can really use. I also like to ask the produce staff if there are other stuff in the back that they are planning to put in there. Remember, asking is not a crime so make sure you take advantage of it. It also helps the staff fell appreciated if you acknowledge and talk to them.
